Q: what’s your go to fast food order?
A: it really depends on what you mean by fast food, I guess? If a salad is an option, I’ll get that. French fries are usually safe. And on the rare occasion I’ll allow myself to get chicken nuggets because they don’t feel like real meat so the texture doesn’t bother me as much. But worse comes to worse I can usually get a soda to tide myself over until I can find something else. It’s definitely not my first choice. Coffee shop is a different story though if you consider that fast food. I like getting the seasonal coffees. I can’t get those syrups at home.
Q: do you prefer coffee or tea?
A: definitely coffee. Tea isn’t strong enough for me. I like anything that’s flavorful really but I definitely lean towards bitter and sour.
Q: do you have a favorite candy?
A: does gum count? I like it, but I always feel weird chewing gum in public for some reason. I almost never buy it. I should really get more gum.
Q: since your apartment doesn’t allow pets, would you ever consider getting a fish or a houseplant?
A: not really. I tend to be out a lot, and I don’t like the idea of a pet that’s kind of built into a piece of furniture and I can’t take with me in case of an emergency. I never did well with plants. I would always water them too much. Besides, there’s a lot of tropical plants outside here anyway.
Q: do you have a favorite kind of fish?
A: I like bettas. They have a lot of personality and they’re pretty low maintenance.
Q: do you like living in Blackpoint or would you rather live somewhere else?
A: I’ve never traveled out of the state so I don’t really have a frame of reference. I like being by the beach. And I like that there’s a lot of people and places to hang out. But there’s a lot of gross people here too. I think I would get too depressed in a cold climate even though I get hot really easily here. but running away does sound appealing to me if it meant I didn’t have to leave my friends behind.
Q: what kind of shampoo do you use?
A: I have no idea. I just get whatever seems the strongest.
Q: would you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?
A: I guess an extrovert? I like being around people, but I have the tendency to isolate myself and run off when things get too hard. I don’t start random conversations with strangers or anything like that. But I like being around my friends. And if they’re busy, I like going out places just to hang out and people watch. At the same time I don’t think I really care about people very much. That sounds bad. I care about my friends a lot, but I have a hard time extending that empathy to anyone outside my circle. If someone’s being an asshole in public, I’m not afraid to let them know. I think I’m quick to love, but also quick to hate.
