Casio color digital diary CSF 4950 128 KB

This is what I use to keep track of my life basically. I would describe it like a low tech PDA. I mostly use it as a calendar to keep track of daily tasks because life is very chaotic and I need to make sure I take medications at the same time every day and actually get all my basic stuff done. I also use it to keep track of appointments and medical stuff along with my daily tasks. I have a color-coded system on my monthly chart to keep track of things at a glance. Green is for cleaning. Things like laundry or the random 4 AM manic organizing. Blue is for outings, whether that's appointments or just to the store. And then red is to track flareups and medication times (anything medical basically). My brain does not do well with the traditional planner so this has worked really well for me to keep track of basic things. You can store phone numbers and stuff like that also, but I personally wouldn't put anything that I would be too devastated to lose because this thing runs on a watch battery (which has its pros and cons) I like that I never have to charge it, and I can instantly flip it open and type something out and flip it closed (also I love the flipping, it's just so great) but the downside is the clock battery is what stores all of your data, so when the battery dies, your storage gets wiped.

there are a ton of digital diaries on eBay for dirt cheap and I honestly really recommend them for having a tracker that isn't connected to your phone. I like this one in particular because it has all of these really cute animations and being in color means I get to color track things obviously. I love the tropical theme the best. You can get little fish animations that swim past the time, or palm trees swaying outside of the window as you work at your little office desk. Everything is very visual, which makes it easier for my brain to keep track of where things are. You switch between sections by selecting different icons. And while the keyboard isn't the best (I wouldn't be typing a novel on this thing anytime soon) I do like having physical pressable keys, unlike PDAs, which for the most part require you to use a stylus and write everything out manually. I just like the navigation system better. of course I covered mine with stickers because I wasn't a fan of the plain black, but it's honestly very customizable.

AGPTEK 64GB MP3 PLAYER

I listen to a lot of music and podcasts so some kind of listening device is really a necessity for me. I used an iPod nano for years;it was a hand me down from my sister, but the 4 GB really did not cut it and I kept having to delete things. I've also been slowly trying to get away from Spotify (iykyk) but honestly, I don't know if it's possible because of the sheer amount of music that I listen to and the way I listen to it. I have over 10,000 songs and while technically I could fit that many with the storage that I have (64GB base with 128GB expansion) navigating this thing is honestly pretty clunky. I do like it and use it regularly, but I have to mind my expectations with a device like this. I wanted to get an older MP3 player but nothing really goes over that 32 GB mark and that just wasn't enough for me, but I realize a lot of how I find music is by searching random lyric keywords, or scrolling through until I find the album cover. I don't typically remember things by their actual name. I'm making a lot of playlists on this thing, but I have to be OK with not being able to find the exact song that I want. most of the time it's a shuffling device.

now with this particular player, I do think you get a lot of bang for your buck. There's a lot of these cheap random MP3 players being made now and it's hard to figure out which ones are actually usable. And while this one is a bit clunky UI wise,it does do what I want to do and it's very sturdy. The sides are metal and the front and back is glass. The front buttons sometimes take a few taps to register, but honestly so does my phone sometimes so I can't really fault it for that. The battery life is good and I like that it completely turns off between uses to save battery life and also the storage is great, I like that you can use a microSD card with it.I mostly use this as a podcast machine because then I can do my little tasks while listening to something without being tethered to my phone. You can make playlists, I don't know why a lot of the reviews say that you can't, but you definitely can. I like that I can shuffle through a massive amount of songs and podcasts, I use it when I am paralyzed by choice and I basically just let it pick for me and that works really well. I also like that it has a headphone jack! I'm still salty that apple and also a lot of other phones decided that headphone jacks weren't necessary anymore. my Bluetooth ones always die way too soon and then I'm left without background noise.>:(this one actually does have Bluetooth capability, but I haven't tried it yet, I usually just use wired headphones with it. I customized this one too. (obviously) I got a little turtle charm that's attached to a dust plug. (I've been really into turtles lately. I just think they're neat) and I got some textured nail stickers which very much adds to the vibe. For the price, I really like it. People spend crazy amounts of money on music players, but I just didn't want to drop that much and I'm happy with this one.

Nintendo DSI blue

The DSI is honestly so underrated. Because it uses an SD card it's easy to home brew. The UI is delightful. The sound design is great and I use the soundtrack on stream all the time. I got this one used on eBay so it was pretty beat up. It did have a child lock, but I was lucky enough that the previous owner just used their registered birthday as the passcode and I could unlock/ wipe it, because I guess Nintendo doesn't unlock these anymore. I did used to have one as a kid and I'm bummed that I don't have it anymore because I took a ton of cool pictures on that thing that have since vanished into the digital ether. I do still have a lot of my old game cartridges though that I can play. Unfortunately, my original Nintendogs cartridges got wiped because I used some kind of hack on them back in the day, but I do still have my sister's original game so I've been playing with her dog, which is a dachshund named Bailey. I also have my original Pokémon game that I've been playing that I got in 2007 and still am nowhere near done. And I didn't really care about all of the scuffs and stuff on it because that meant I could just put a ton of stickers on the case. At some point I'll open it up and fix the bumpers but that day is not today. I like how easy it is to fit in my bag and how comfortable and light it is to hold. This is mostly a dedicated on the go device. I keep it charged up so I can grab it and go. It also has a Kitan Club gacha walking frog phone charm attached to it, I love that the DS has a spot for those and I'm also glad that I still have this particular charm because apparently they're quite hard to come across now.

Nintendo 3DSXL animal crossing edition

I was lucky enough to buy this back in the day when Nintendo was doing huge sales because the 3DS originally didn't sell very well. This thing is chunky, but the screen is very nice so I dedicate it to mostly screen based games unlike my DSI, which is mostly for D-pad games. I also use it to watch YouTube videos because I cannot be trusted with my phone.(curse you YouTube shorts) I do occasionally throw it in my bag sometimes to use the step counter function on the 3DS version of Nintendogs. I also like playing animal crossing new leaf and I have a ton of music on it from back in the day which is a nice little time capsule. I kind of treat my 3DS like a desktop and my DSI like a laptop. I like how big the screen is but it's honestly pretty uncomfortable to hold so I tend to just park it on a table when I play. I have a little aibo phone charm on this one that came from a Japanese pencil lead pack.
